Description

A sunrise over distant mountains finds a camp of warriors uneasy, as scouts report that the Tuolos, Kurabus and Illyas have joined forces along the great river. The Professor, an outsider respected for his wisdom, calls a council of the four allied tribes, urging them to consider a common purpose beyond endless fighting. He frames the Great Spirit’s message as one of shared land, mutual protection and the right to keep each tribe’s customs while learning to live without harming one another.

The tribal chiefs listen, their doubts giving way to cautious hope. They discuss how cooperation could bring new tools for safeguarding families, rather than weapons for conquest. The dialogue reveals a fragile alliance built on respect for diverse beliefs, a promise that unity might bring prosperity to all. Listeners are drawn into the tension between old enmities and a tentative vision of peace, setting the stage for a journey where cultural pride meets collective survival.

Best known for the Wonder Island Boys adventures, this early 20th-century writer created fast-moving tales of castaways, discovery, and survival for young readers. Very little is firmly documented about the person behind the books, which gives the series an extra air of mystery.
