Description

Two extraterrestrials hover just beyond Mars, tasked with uncovering a mysterious weapon being built on Earth. Their partner, Riuku, reports that every scientist, technician and worker is protected by an impenetrable mind shield, making direct contact impossible. Determined, the alien Nagor pushes Riuku to probe deeper, hoping a slip in the shielding will reveal the secret. Their urgency grows as the clock ticks toward a potential exodus from the solar system.

On the ground, Pete Ganley ends his shift at a cramped bar, waiting for his colleague Alice Hendricks. She’s managed a clever trick—swapping a shield‑tag color to slip through the protection grid undetected. Their casual banter masks a growing danger: the enemy’s probes could be listening, and the weakened shield could expose a crucial weakness. As Alice’s subterfuge succeeds, both humans and aliens sense that the hunt for the hidden weapon is about to take a decisive turn.
