Description

In the tidy enclave of Geneva Square, young barrister Lucian Denzil carves out a modest life among respectable clerks and a few bohemian artists. He enjoys the quiet of the leafy quadrangle, the neat white‑curtained windows and the orderly rhythm of his days at the Serjeant’s Inn. Yet beyond the polished façades lies a stark contrast: No. 13, a deteriorating house that has lain empty for decades, cloaked in rumors of murder and lingering spectres.

The building, known colloquially as the Silent House, has become a local legend, its dusty windows and rusted railings inspiring whispered gossip about ghostly lights and a forlorn old woman in silk. When the reclusive Mr. Mark Berwin unexpectedly moves in, the neighborhood’s uneasy curiosity turns to genuine intrigue. As the new tenant settles, the quiet of the square is disturbed, hinting at secrets waiting to surface beneath the house’s grim exterior.
