Description

Three friends—Frank, Jack, and Bob—spend their summer on a remote Long Island estate, surrounded by woods, beach, and a state‑of‑the‑art radio station built by Jack’s father. With a fast plane, a speedboat, and a cutting‑edge transmitter at their fingertips, they’re accustomed to daring escapades that once took them from Mexican rebels to covert smuggling rings in San Francisco. Now, with nothing but sunshine and idle chatter, they anticipate a quieter vacation, yet the equipment around them still hums with possibility.

Their peace is broken by a persistent, high‑pitched hiss that rides the airwaves, a signal that refuses to be decoded. When Bob returns from the beach clutching an odd find, the boys suspect the interference may be more than a technical glitch—perhaps a clue to a hidden operation. With the local Revenue Service watching the coast, the trio’s curiosity pulls them into a chase that could test both their gadgets and their bravery.
