Description

A bitter December chill blankets the countryside of Essex as Dr. Jerce, a famed urban physician with a Napoleon‑like devotion to punctuality, races against a delayed train to reach a remote manor. The snow‑capped streets glitter beneath gas lamps, while the doctor’s mind is already on the urgent patient awaiting him inside. His precise, almost ceremonial attire contrasts sharply with the rugged winter landscape.

A silent figure in grey, coat and hat matching the bleak sky, steps from the carriage and shadows Jerce’s every move, unnoticed by the bustling townsfolk. When the doctor disappears behind the iron gates of a venerable Georgian mansion, the stranger lingers, his breath frosting in the air as he watches the door. The mansion’s ivy‑clad façade hints at long‑held secrets, and the tension between the two men promises a puzzling encounter.

As night falls and the inn’s warm glow beckons, the grey man seeks shelter, keeping his vigil on the mansion’s gate. Listeners will be drawn into a tale of Victorian intrigue, where every step forward uncovers another layer of mystery.
