Description

When a poor London boy named Tom wanders into the royal chambers, he finds himself alone among the prince’s luxuries. He experiments with the glittering sword, fine robes, and towering mirrors, trying to imitate the royal bearing he has only ever imagined. The sensations of silk and gold spark both pride and bewilderment as he picture‑posts his life back in Offal Court. Yet the emptiness of the palace grows louder, and the absence of the true prince becomes an unsettling echo.

Suddenly, whispers of the prince’s madness ripple through the corridors, turning the opulent halls into a maze of suspicion. Six solemn servants and a trembling lady confront Tom, their eyes flickering between awe and distrust. He is forced to plead for mercy, fearing that any misstep could cost him his life. As tension mounts, the listener is left to wonder whether Tom will find a way back to his own world or become trapped in the gilded deception.
