Description

In a rush against the clock, two seasoned investigators sprint to the sleepy New England town where a celebrated actress has died under mysterious circumstances. A frantic suitcase‑packing scene gives way to a smoky Pullman compartment, where the detectives sift through sensational headlines and tangled rumors about a supposed cyanide murder. The case quickly spirals beyond a simple poison‑pill, pulling in a prominent senator’s family, a brilliant but troubled doctor, and a web of jealous rivals and secret affairs that have the whole community whispering.

As the duo arrives in Danbridge, they find a town where old‑world charm clashes with industrial ambition, and where everyone seems to know each other’s secrets. Their keen eyes begin to untangle conflicting testimonies, odd forensic clues, and a cryptic note that could exonerate—or condemn—the young doctor at the heart of the scandal. With each revelation, the puzzle deepens, promising a classic whodunit steeped in early‑20th‑century intrigue.
