Description

In the thick of the Ohio frontier, two teenage brothers, Bob and Sandy Armstrong, lean on their hoes as an alarm bell erupts from across the settlement. Their modest homestead, perched on the banks of the great river, has already weathered the hardships of wilderness life, but the distant clamor hints at new dangers. Joined by a lively sister, Kate, an Irish trapper friend, and the legendary frontiersman Simon Kenton, the young pioneers are drawn into a world where fire‑brand bravery meets everyday survival.

The first act follows the boys as they seek refuge in a blockhouse, grapple with a mysterious bear, and learn the hard lessons of self‑reliance across untamed woods. Alongside the restless spirit of the Shawnee warrior Blue Jacket, they begin to trace the movements of Iroquois war parties, testing both their courage and the fragile peace of the border settlement. Listeners will feel the crisp autumn air, the crackle of campfires, and the pulse of a young America on the edge of expansion.
