THE MISSING PRINCE.
CHAPTER I.—PIERROT AND THE MOON.
A lively young boy named Pierrot spends one unforgettable night on a long train ride, his eyes wide with wonder at the glowing city lights, the towering spires of York Minster, and the salty sunrise over the sea at Scarborough. Along the way he drifts between sleepy moments and bursts of adventure, clutching a copy of Punch and marveling at the crumbling castle ruins that loom at the edge of town. The journey feels both ordinary and magical, setting the stage for a mystery that will soon pull him far beyond the ordinary comforts of his uncle’s carriage.
When Pierrot finally steps into the seaside town, a strange rumor circulates about a royal child who has vanished from the castle’s shadowed halls. Curious and eager to help, he finds himself drawn into secret passages, whispered clues, and the bustling life of the harbor. As the sun climbs higher, the boy’s bright imagination promises an exciting quest that will test his bravery and kindness.
