Description

On a sweltering September day aboard the Santa Fé Limited, the steely‑eyed Roger Sands finds his routine interrupted by a frantic young woman who bursts into his stateroom pleading for help. Her violet eyes and regal bearing clash with the urgency of her words, hinting at a danger that follows her like a shadow. Intrigued and oddly compelled, Sands must decide whether to obey the unspoken code of a gentleman or to cross a line that could endanger both of them.

As the train barrels toward Chicago, the pair are thrust into a tangled web of secrets, false identities, and a mysterious threat that seems to lurk in every carriage. The tension between Sands’s hardened exterior and the woman’s desperate vulnerability fuels a suspenseful cat‑and‑mouse game, while the confined setting heightens every whispered promise and hidden motive. Listeners will be drawn into a puzzle where loyalty, courage, and a hint of romance collide, all before the story even reaches its first turning point.
