THE HISTORY OF TOM THUMB
THE LION AND THE FOX
CATCHING BLACKBIRDS.
THE DOG.
A LETTER TO FRANK.
In a kingdom of knights and legends, a humble ploughman and his wife receive an unexpected gift from Merlin and the Queen of the Fairies: a son no larger than his father’s thumb. The diminutive Tom grows up quick‑witted and daring, turning ordinary chores into extraordinary escapades—sneaking into cherry‑stone bags, diving into a boiling pudding, and even getting swallowed by a giant’s cow before escaping with stubborn ingenuity.
Tom’s tiny size leads him into the most improbable corners of the realm. After a raven drops him into a giant’s castle, he rides the sleeve of a fearsome ogre, is tossed into the sea, and ends up inside a massive fish that is later presented to King Arthur. When the fish is cut open, the court discovers the pint‑sized boy, whose clever tricks instantly delight the king and queen. His newfound fame promises fresh adventures, but what lies beyond the court’s walls remains a mystery.

Some of the world’s most enduring books come from writers whose names were never recorded or never revealed. “Anonymous” on a title page can mean many different things: a lost identity, a deliberate choice, or a work shaped by tradition over time.
