The High Hander

Jack Tesno rides into the untamed Cascade Mountains as a hired troubleshooter for a railroad crew carving a tunnel through rugged frontier terrain. In a land where town statutes mean little, Tesno carries his own code—a mix of grit, a six‑gun, and an unshakable resolve to keep the work on schedule. While he enjoys brief moments of peace by the crystal streams, the job quickly proves that “making up his mind” means confronting murder, sabotage, and the thin line between law and lawlessness.

Along the way Tesno meets a cast of colorful figures: a half‑breed boy with a stutter whose courage belies his doubts, a beautiful blonde whose charms threaten to distract him, and a town marshal whose badge hides a deadly instinct.
