Description

In this gentle adventure, a young prince named Eric wanders into an immense, shadow‑filled forest after losing his way. Clad in a blue velvet coat and a golden band, he presses on despite bruises, hunger and the eerie calls of ravens, hoping the “gold thread” will guide him home. Along the way he meets a rugged boy herding swine, whose lively song echoes through the trees, offering a glimpse of friendship and the strange magic that lives within the woods.

The companion tale, “Wee Davie,” follows a sprightly youngster whose quick wit and daring spirit turn everyday village life into a series of small, exciting quests. From playful mischief to heartfelt moments, Davie’s encounters with neighbors, animals and hidden wonders capture the charm of childhood curiosity. Together, the two stories invite listeners into worlds where bravery, imagination, and the search for belonging shine brightly.
