Description

A restless summer stretches across a sleepy village, where seven‑year‑old Roger—tall, thin, and forever scheming—commands a rag‑tag crew of neighborhood kids. Beside him stands Charlotte, a fierce five‑year‑old with a stubborn streak, while Ernest, Elsa, and a few others bring their own brand of daring to the makeshift playground. Their world is built from planks, barrels, and the boundless imagination that makes a back‑yard feel like uncharted territory.

When Roger decides to construct a precarious see‑saw, the game quickly spirals from laughter to rivalry, each child staking a claim on the unstable board. A sudden crash and a flash of anger ignite a volatile showdown that forces the group to confront the thin line between harmless fun and genuine hurt. As tempers flare, the children must reckon with the consequences of their impulses, hinting at deeper questions about friendship, authority, and the loss of innocence.
