Description

In the shadowed halls of Tyrconnel, a sudden raid by a motley band of outlaws leaves the estate's master gravely wounded. Sir Patricius Placebo summons two renowned surgeons—an English doctor named Leach and a French practitioner, Monsieur Bourreau—to assess the bullet lodged in the noble’s joint. Their clash of opinions, one favoring swift extraction, the other urging patience, sets a tense scene of medical debate amid the lingering fear of the night’s darkness.

While the physicians argue, the house is filled with whispers of lingering danger and the unsettling presence of the mysterious Adelaide, whose steadfast devotion to the wounded lord hints at a deeper bond. The arrival of a third, Dutch surgeon, Mynheer Van Phlebodem, promises to tip the balance, but his counsel may also draw the attention of hidden enemies still lurking in the surrounding woods. Against this backdrop of doubt, fever, and looming threat, listeners are drawn into a storm of romance, honor, and the uneasy question of whether love can survive the shadows of All Hallow’s Eve.
