Description

Set against the restless backdrop of late‑19th‑century South Africa, this tale follows three spirited schoolboys—Ned, Clarence and Fred—who leave the disciplined halls of Shebourne Academy for a continent still shrouded in mystery. Their youthful vigor and sense of duty quickly draw them into a clash with the Transvaal authorities, where loyalty, bravery and the promise of adventure are tested on the open veldt. Along the way they stumble upon the remnants of an ancient central African kingdom, opening a new frontier of intrigue and discovery.

Back in England, the trio’s experiences shape their roles in a larger conflict that pits ideals of justice against the harsh realities of empire. Their journey intertwines personal honor with the larger forces of war, offering a vivid portrait of camaraderie, love, and the hardships of a world on the brink of change. Listeners will be carried through vivid battles, daring escapades, and the timeless quest for purpose in an untamed land.
