Description

Set against the mist‑shrouded lowlands of Damnonia in the year 577, the story opens with a desperate clash between Saxon invaders and the dwindling Britons. On the battlefield a striking druidess in saffron robes moves with uncanny grace, chanting ancient rites even as Christian symbols flutter nearby. Beside her rides a fierce young warrior on a jet‑black Irish stallion, his blood‑spattered banner a stark contrast to the white horse of the Saxons.

The narrative weaves together the clash of cultures—Roman‑influenced Britons, pagan druidic magic, and the spread of Christianity—while grounding the conflict in vivid, personal moments of courage and loss. As the druidess weaves spells and the youth rallies his comrades, listeners are drawn into a world where myth and history intertwine, and the fate of a fractured land hangs in the balance. The early chapters promise a rich tapestry of loyalty, faith, and the fierce spirit of a people fighting for survival.
