Description

Three restless boys—Donald, the ranch heir with a mind for mining; Adrian, his loyal longtime friend; and Billie, the stout southern cousin sent out for health and adventure—set out from the familiar plains of Wyoming for a stint along the rugged Arizona border. Their goal is simple enough: explore a remote range, check on a distant family ranch, and prove that even a boy of Billie’s size can tame any horse. Together they ride spirited ponies across towering mesas, sharing jokes and daring each other to push farther into the untamed wilderness.

Soon their journey takes a strange turn when a mysterious Zuni witch doctor appears, fixing a threatening gaze on Billie and hinting at a secret buried deep in the desert. Whispered legends speak of a hidden treasure guarded by ancient rites, and a ruthless syndicate led by a calculating colonel begins to surface, eager to claim the riches for themselves. The boys must decide whether to follow the witch doctor’s ominous warning or chase the promise of wealth, all while learning the true meaning of courage on the harsh frontier.
