Description

In the dusty heat of a western trail, a band of spirited boy ranchers set out for a summer camp in Flume Valley. Bud Merkel rides hard, keen to meet his cousins and the newcomers who have just earned a reputation for clearing rustlers from Diamond X. Along the way a sudden flash of black jack rabbit and a near‑miss with a pony set the tone for close calls and whispered warnings. Old Billee Dobb, the mentor, reminds them that luck can turn as quickly as the wind over the prairie.

Their arrival at the camp soon uncovers a mysterious disappearance that haunts the valley, and rumors of a swelling flood begin to spread. The boys must balance the chores of raising steers with the growing tension of a water fight that threatens to turn the peaceful valley into a torrent. As night falls, uneasy sounds echo from the woods, hinting at hidden dangers lurking just beyond the campfire’s glow. Listeners will be drawn into the camaraderie, the humor, and the early clues that promise a larger adventure ahead.
