Description

When a lanky, determined youth named Ned Nevins arrives at the bustling workshop of the Boy Inventors, he carries a curious, tightly sealed box and a desperate need to meet the famed Jack Chadwick and Tom Jesson. The seasoned members, especially the brash Sam Hinkley, greet him with suspicion and a sharp jab, turning the meeting into a tense standoff. Yet Ned’s steel‑grip and unwavering resolve force the group to listen, and the mysterious device he protects hints at a breakthrough that could change their world.

As the boys sift through sketches and schematics, they discover that Ned’s invention is an electric hydroaeroplane—a craft that might glide over water using nothing but magnetism and clever engineering. Their excitement quickly gives way to rivalry, doubts, and the looming threat of outside forces eager to steal the secret. With friendship tested and a daring plan beginning to take shape, the young inventors brace for an adventure that could launch them into the skies—and into danger.
