Description

Tom, a modest Presbyterian minister, has spent years shuffling through cramped rooms and modest salaries, dreaming of a place where his modest talents might be put to fuller use. When an unexpected invitation arrives from the distant St. Cuthbert’s, a grand cathedral perched on the edge of a budding town, he and his spirited wife Emmeline see both a blessing and a test of their resolve. Their move promises a fresh start, yet the couple must navigate cramped finances, quirky landlords, and the whispered expectations of a congregation eager for revival.

At St. Cuthbert’s, the towering pulpit and historic walls hint at deep traditions and fierce devotion, casting a shadow that both intimidates and inspires Tom. As he steps onto the sacred dais, he grapples with his own doubts while striving to meet the hopes of parishioners who see him as a beacon of change. Listeners will follow his gentle humor, his tender partnership with Emmeline, and the quiet courage that fuels his first months of service.
