His sudden arrival rattles the household, and soon the matriarch Liisa, along with her sister and daughter, stumble upon a hidden stash of money meant for a secret purpose, igniting a heated exchange about loyalty, poverty, and the lure of distant fortunes.

Meanwhile, Toukka‑Hennu, a hardened servant weighed down by bone‑white fatigue, confronts the landowner Mäkelä over the looming transfer of a prized forest. Their sharp dialogue reveals a tangled web of power, greed, and desperate ambition that threatens to upend the fragile balance of the farm.
