Description

Set in the reign of King Richard the Lionheart, England is a land of rough roads, woods, and a menace of highway robbers. A young Robin of Locksley, raised by a skilled cross‑bowman father and a mother, spends a visit at his uncle’s Gamewell Hall, where he impresses the household with his wit and daring. The hospitality turns sour when a monk manipulates his ailing uncle into bequeathing the estate to the abbey, leaving Robin penniless. With his family’s fortunes gone, he must leave the comfort of the manor and face an uncertain future.

Undeterred, Robin gathers a band of fellow outcasts—young men who know little of trade but share his talent for the bow. Together they settle in Sherwood Forest, a haven of deer and ancient trees, and soon adopt a “merry” code, sharing their loot with the needy while striking at the wealthy. Dressed in bright scarlet and green coats, they become a legend across the kingdom, feared by travelers and admired by the common folk. Their early exploits set the stage for the timeless tale of the outlaw who champions justice.
