PUNKY DUNK AND THE GOLD FISH
THIS LITTLE STORY IS TOLD AND THE LITTLE PICTURES WERE DRAWN FOR A GOOD LITTLE CHILD NAMED ----------------------
Punky Dunk is a plump, black‑and‑white kitten who spends his days lounging in a straw‑filled box, eyes half‑closed and nose tucked into his paw. From his cozy perch he watches a brass‑caged bird and a gleaming bowl of goldfish, daydreaming about swapping his milk‑soft coat for a tasty, plump fish meal. His curiosity grows louder with each flick of a fish’s fin, and he begins to imagine leaping onto the glass stand to get a closer look.
One bold bound lands his paws on the bowl’s rim, and the startled fish erupt in a splash that drenches the eager cat. Punky Dunk hisses, retreats, and scurries away, shaking off droplets while the goldfish celebrate their unexpected play. The tumble leaves him a soggy, humbled feline, learning that some wishes are better left unpursued and that it’s safer to admire the fish from a dry distance.

Some of the world’s most enduring books come from writers whose names were never recorded or never revealed. “Anonymous” on a title page can mean many different things: a lost identity, a deliberate choice, or a work shaped by tradition over time.
