Description

On the wide prairie surrounding Harristown, Jessie Murray rides like a sunrise, her golden hair flashing and her keen blue eyes watching the horizon. As the daughter of one of South Dakota’s wealthiest ranchers, she commands every bronco with effortless skill, turning ordinary townsfolk into gawking spectators whenever she appears in town. Her charm draws admiration from all the cowboys, yet the true test of her heart begins the moment a humble rider named Broncho Bill falls under her spell.

Bill, a low‑paid cowpoke, spends his days dreaming of the elegant Miss Murray and scheming for any chance to earn her favor, while the polished newcomer George—Jessie’s own cousin—arrives from the East with silk sleeves, a glass‑in‑the‑eye, and a swagger that confounds the locals. The rivalry between the rough‑and‑ready Bill and the refined George sparks witty banter at the town saloon and uneasy glances on the dusty trails. As the season's first thunderstorms roll in, the three find themselves caught in a tangle of pride, desire, and the unspoken rules of the wild frontier.
