Beneath the golden reign of King Ramses, Egypt glitters with triumph and splendor. After a victorious campaign the monarch returns to Thebes with his new queen, Neferu‑Ra, whose radiant beauty is celebrated in temple rites devoted to Amun‑Ra. Amid the flickering torches of a holy festival, a messenger from the distant land of Bekhten arrives with an urgent request: the king’s young sister‑in‑law, Bent‑reshy, has fallen gravely ill.
Ramses summons the learned scribe Tehuti‑em‑heb, sending him across the desert to examine the affliction. The scholar discovers that a hostile spirit has seized the girl, thwarting ordinary remedies and driving the Bekhten prince into despair. To banish the demon, Tehuti‑em‑heb urges the king to call upon Khonsu, the moon‑god’s fierce protector, setting the stage for a perilous quest.
The tale weaves together royal intrigue, ancient magic, and a race against time, inviting listeners to step into a world where gods walk among mortals and every prayer could turn the tide.
