Napraforgók: Ujabb beszélyek

Set against the sweltering summer of 1848, a small Hungarian village awakens to the restless drum of conscription. A ragtag band of hussars, led by a grizzled sergeant, rolls through Bozonka, urging boys to pick up rifles while the air brims with patriotic songs and nervous chatter. In the clamor, young Peti, the prized son of local farmer Csapó Márton, stands between the pride of duty and his mother's tender pleas.

Erzsike, his shy sister, clings to his coat while their mother, Klára, folds trembling hands around a quilt of worry, fearing war will steal the village’s spirit. The seasoned sergeant, half‑joking about moustaches, tries to steady the families with coarse humor and a promise of a brief fight, though his eyes betray the weight of a nation on the brink. Amid marching boots and the scent of fresh pogácsa, hope and dread pulse through the hearts of those about to step into an uncertain future.
