From the primal void of Chaos springs the first stirrings of world and divinity, where Earth and Heaven part, and the first generations of gods, Titans and their monstrous siblings, take shape. Uranus, ruler of the sky, despises his hideous offspring and casts them into the abyss of Tartarus, prompting his consort Gaea to enlist her youngest Titan, Cronus, in a brutal coup. With a gleaming sickle the son severs his father's power, ushering an era of fear and betrayal that sees Cronus swallowing his own children to avoid a repeated overthrow.
A desperate Rhea substitutes a stone for her newborn Zeus, raising the future king in secret on Crete under the watch of a nurturing goat and the clatter of armored men. When Zeus matures, he returns to confront his father, using cunning and a sweet draught that forces Cronus to disgorge his imprisoned siblings, reuniting the new generation of gods. The stage is set for a titanic clash between the risen Olympians and the ancient deities, promising countless adventures of heroism, craft, and divine intrigue.
