Description

Set against the turbulent years of 1650 France, a young nobleman stands at a crossroads as the kingdom teeters between royal regency and the machinations of Cardinal Mazarin. Encouraged by a seasoned soldier of fortune, he abandons the safety of his family estate and sets out for the glittering yet perilous streets of Paris. The city swarms with conspiracies, rival nobles, and desperate crowds, promising both fortune and fatal danger to anyone bold enough to seize it.

In the capital, he quickly discovers that allegiance is a cheap commodity and that a single blade can decide a man's fate. From the glittering salons of the Luxembourg to the shadowy back alleys where secret plots fester, he is drawn into a web of intrigue that tests his courage, wit, and the very meaning of loyalty. Listeners will follow his daring exploits as he navigates duels, clandestine meetings, and the ever‑looming threat of the Bastille.
