Description

The story opens on the jagged, ever‑shifting landscape of Calabria, a land where summer blazes like Timbuktu and winter freezes like St. Petersburg. Volcanoes and earthquakes constantly redraw the map, swallowing towns and reshaping valleys, so the locals cling to their homes more out of habit than certainty. This restless setting creates a backdrop of danger and wonder, where the line between myth and reality blurs with every tremor.

Into this volatile world wanders Master Adam, a wiry figure in faded velvet doublet and bright‑colored belts that hide an odd assortment of tools rather than weapons. Discovered naked and weeping in the ruins of a village that vanished beneath the earth, he carries an air of carefree confidence and a mysterious past that the shepherds of Nicotera can only guess at. His quick step and clever mind make him both a survivor and a magnet for the outlaw circles that roam the Italian coasts.

As Adam sets out from Nicotera toward the bustling town of Monteleone, he becomes entangled with rival bands, secretive patrons, and the ancient forces that shake the very ground beneath his feet. Listeners will follow his daring exploits, his colorful schemes, and the uneasy alliances he forges while the land itself seems to conspire against him.
