Description

In the mist‑shrouded hills of northern Spain a solitary traveler finds himself lost on a winding path, his compass reduced to a stubborn optimism that keeps him moving “straight on.” The rugged landscape of wild cherry trees, beeches and ancient oaks frames his quest for the famed Socartes mines, while the night grows deeper and the countryside eerily quiet. His rugged determination is tempered by a growing sense of unease, hinting at the hidden lives that linger in these remote valleys.

Among the shadows, a young, frail girl named Marianela tends to an orphaned boy, Pablo, whose blindness makes the world a realm of imagined beauty. With a tender, almost desperate devotion, she guides him through the darkness, offering a vision of the world that he can never truly see. Their fragile bond, set against the stark, unforgiving scenery, promises both hope and heartache as each step forward uncovers the tender, often painful, realities of love and identity.
