Description

On a cold, fog‑filled night in March 1793, the bells of Notre‑Dame strike ten as Paris hangs in a tense hush. The city, far from the glittering image of cafés and lanterns, has become a maze of narrow alleys where fear and hope move side by side. Amid the growing threat of foreign armies and internal uprisings, the revolutionary Convention calls for tens of thousands of volunteers to defend the Republic, and fiery orator Danton rallies the crowds with promises of glory and a new France.

Among the hastily assembled ranks is a young idealist whose name will soon be recorded in the ledger of the city’s defenders. He meets a mysterious woman whose motives are as opaque as the midnight fog, and together they become entangled in a web of secret messages, betrayals, and the relentless search for loyal comrades. As the night deepens, the volunteer must decide whether to follow the fervent call to arms or to question the shadowy forces that threaten to undermine the very ideals they fight for.
