Description

In the simmering streets of 19th‑century Naples, two condemned men—André and Simon—prepare for a fate that feels both inevitable and unjust. Bound by friendship and haunted by the names they carve into the stone of their cell, they step out into a city that watches with a mixture of fear and curiosity as a solemn escort leads them toward an uncertain execution. A mysterious woman in black, Luisa, watches from the courtyard, her grief hinting at tangled family secrets that reach back to the very heart of the tragedy.

As the procession weaves through bustling markets and silent alleys, the prisoners confront the harsh reality of a military order that leaves their final moments to chance. Their desperate request—to be shot together—exposes the fragile humanity hidden beneath the rigid authority of the Revolutionary guard. Listeners are drawn into a tense tableau of loyalty, sacrifice, and the stark beauty of a city teetering between hope and despair, setting the stage for choices that will echo long after the cannons fall silent.
