Description

In the shadowed chambers of a late‑Gothic palace, the court of Naples gathers beneath soaring pillars and heavy drapes, where fading daylight fights the encroaching gloom. Rumors of a renewed “black death” sweep through the marble corridors, casting an uneasy pall over the glittering festivities and setting a tense backdrop for the drama to unfold.

At the heart of the intrigue sits Queen Johanna, a woman whose presence commands both reverence and fear, flanked by the poised Bianca Maria and a procession of courtiers, knights, and a wandering troubadour. The weary Count Nolan arrives with a grave report of pestilence, his weary words sparking sharp retorts from the queen, who wields wit and authority like a blade. Their exchanges crackle with sarcasm, veiled threats, and the subtle maneuvering of noble houses desperate to protect their interests.

Against this ornate stage, alliances waver, old grievances surface, and every whispered promise hints at deeper conspiracies. Listeners will be drawn into a world where power, disease, and personal ambition intertwine, promising a compelling tale of courtly intrigue and looming danger.
