Murhenäytelmä
In the sun‑drenched terrace of an ancient Palmyrene palace, a young prince named Athenodorus leans on his devoted caretaker, Lankha. The fifteen‑year‑old is frail, his twisted spine a stark contrast to the bright eyes that crave a world of beauty beyond his sickly body. Around them the garden bursts with aging olives and towering trees, hinting at both abundance and decay. Their quiet conversation hints at longing, prophecy, and the heavy weight of royal expectation.
The court swirls with vivid personalities—Queen Zenobia, the enigmatic philosopher Longinus, a sculptor named Kleantes, and the prophetic advisor Nimrod—each offering riddles and counsel that deepen the prince’s inner turmoil. Tension builds as love, ambition, and fate intersect, and the palace becomes a stage for whispered dreams and looming dread. Though the story has only begun, the atmosphere is already charged with tragic potential, inviting listeners to follow Athenodorus as his world tilts toward an unknown destiny.
