Description

The tale opens on a bright summer morning in a lively riverside town, where the sun pours gold across the canal and the air smells of blooming fields and fresh bread. Market stalls bustle with merchants, the clang of horse‑drawn carts mixes with the calls of sailors, and children dart between the rows of shutters. The town’s narrow streets pulse with the rhythm of daily life, while the distant hum of the river reminds everyone that trade and travel are never far away.

At the heart of this scene stands Freark‑om, a weather‑worn figure in a sturdy coat and broad‑brimmed hat, waiting at the dock as ships load and unload their cargo. He watches the world with a keen eye, his hands still stained from the day’s work, yet there’s a restless spark in his gaze. As a lone carriage rolls in, drawing the attention of townsfolk, a subtle tension rises, hinting that Freark‑om may soon be drawn into events that could shift the quiet rhythm of his beloved river town.
