Description

A sun‑kissed Andalusian village frames the first steps of a spirited young girl named Pilarica. She fidgets with a stubborn needle, dodges her stern aunt Tía Marta’s scoldings, and darts out into a stone‑cobbled courtyard where an old grandfather strums a guitar beneath an olive tree. The vivid setting of a Moorish garden and the hum of everyday chores ground the story in the simple joys and frustrations of childhood in early‑twentieth‑century Spain.

Soon Pilarica’s world widens as she encounters Rafael, a restless boy with a talent for mischief, and the mysterious Gypsy King whose traveling troupe drifts through the hills. Together they chase riddles, folk songs, and whispered legends, discovering hidden corners of the countryside and learning the value of courage, generosity, and a well‑placed laugh. The narrative weaves playful adventure with the warm rhythms of Spanish folk culture, inviting listeners to feel the dust‑filled breezes and hear the distant strum of guitars long after the tale pauses.
