In case of fire
IN CASE OF FIRE
Two reporters set out for a holiday joyride in a freshly painted fire truck, hoping to deliver it to Springfield and perhaps charm a pair of twin sisters along the way. With a borrowed pair of helmets, a siren, a gong, and every impressive piece of equipment they can find, they discover that a fire engine has a remarkable talent for clearing roads—and attracting attention.
Their harmless journey takes an unexpected turn when a small-town volunteer department races after them, convinced they are speeding toward a major blaze. Stopping to explain that there is no fire only raises more questions, especially when the pursuing crew has damaged its new truck and expects payment for answering the call. What began as an easy ride quickly becomes a lively collision of mistaken identity, small-town excitement, and two reporters wondering just how much trouble a little noise can cause.
