Description

A weary traveler arrives in a remote Highland house on a moonlit night, drawn by the promise of hospitality and a chance to share his unusual talent. He tells the host that he can read the movements of the stars and, without seeking profit, offers to glimpse the future of the newborn son the family has just welcomed. The parents, hopeful yet uneasy, listen as the visitor explains that the child’s destiny is marked by both great promise and a looming shadow that may test him before he reaches his twentieth year.

The scene unfolds with quiet tension as the astrologer’s solemn predictions stir the homeowner’s anxieties about his heir’s fate. Through the dialogue, listeners catch a glimpse of a world where superstition, family duty, and the mysteries of the heavens intertwine, setting the stage for a story that balances hope with impending peril. The opening invites curiosity about how this foretelling will shape the lives of those gathered around the breakfast table.
