Description

A lone schooner drifts through a tranquil October night off the French coast, its sails slack and its crew restless. Captain Troy, a seasoned mariner with generations of seafaring in his blood, guides the Jonas Clinton homeward while battling fickle winds and the weight of an uncertain future. Among his crew are his teenage son Nelson, eager to prove himself, the lanky Nova Scotian “Bean Pole,” and Pickles, the wiry, loyal dog whose antics keep spirits afloat.

As the ship finally catches a breath of wind, the quiet is shattered by whispers of war‑torn seas and the ominous presence of enemy submarines. The crew must confront the harsh realities of a world at conflict, testing their courage, camaraderie, and the thin line between hope and dread. This early‑stage nautical tale blends vivid sea‑life detail with the suspense of looming danger, inviting listeners to set sail on an adventure where every gust could change destiny.
