Description

A vivid portrait opens the tale in the wild banks of the Drava, where endless reeds and towering alders girdle a primeval swamp. Sun‑dappled water lilies and towering rushes rise like emerald pillars, while swans, crowned herons and shy waterfowl sing a four‑part hymn that seems to belong only to the gods. At dusk the marsh awakens with the mournful bellow of a water buffalo and the soft whistle of a turtle, creating a world that feels both untouched and mythic.

Into this secluded realm a band of seasoned hunters makes camp, their lodges clinging to ancient oaks that have watched centuries pass. The men, drawn from noble families, bring with them the customs of court and the weight of a distant kingdom, yet they must learn to navigate the tangled roots and hidden currents that threaten any careless step. As they prepare for the first hunt, a subtle tension rises between the allure of the untamed landscape and the ambitions that drive them deeper into its heart.
