Description

The story opens with a vivid panorama of an Alpine valley at sunrise, where silver threads of light dance across stone, roofs and wilted orchards, turning the whole landscape into a shimmering tapestry. Against this luminous backdrop, the quiet village awakens, its church spire glittering like fire, while distant peaks wear the last traces of snow. A subtle, unsettling murmur rises from the forest—rumbling stones, the clatter of wooden stakes, and a faint, endless gurgle that seems to come from deep beneath the earth.

Into this atmospheric setting steps Toni Purtscheller, a seasoned hunter whose weather‑worn clothing and confident bearing reveal a life tied to the mountains. He descends a steep path, rifle in hand, observing the village and its inhabitants with a mix of pride and restless energy. As he navigates the winding trails, the strange silver filaments continue to swirl, hinting at mysteries that lie hidden among the trees and cliffs, setting the tone for a tale of nature’s grandeur and human endurance.
