Description

A restless seventeen‑year‑old named Dave Fearless dreams of a lost fortune buried two miles beneath the Pacific. When his father, a former sea captain and marine architect, learns that a government survey ship will soon be equipped with a new diving bell, they see a chance to claim a million dollars left to their family. Together they plot to join the expedition, hoping the cutting‑edge equipment will let them reach the sunken steamship Happy Hour before the rival Hankers catch wind of their secret.

The story launches with tension at a quiet coastal cottage, where a sudden glimpse of Bart Hankers—son of the affluent Hankers family—spurs Dave into action. As the young diver prepares for a daring deep‑sea foray, the narrative mixes youthful ambition, family loyalty, and the lure of hidden treasure. Listeners will be drawn into the vivid world of early‑20th‑century ocean exploration, where daring plans meet the unforgiving depths.

Behind this name was a whole publishing machine: a house pseudonym used for fast-moving boys' adventure stories packed with lost worlds, inventions, and jungle drama. The books helped shape early 20th-century series fiction, especially for young readers who loved cliffhangers and big imagination.
