Description

When the sleek biplane “Comet” rolls onto the airfield, excitement crackles among the crew. Young Dave Dashaway, already famed for his daring feats, is set to lead a bold circumnavigation, accompanied by his loyal friend Hiram Dobbs and the thoughtful Elmer Brackett. Their plan promises high‑altitude thrills and stops in far‑off lands, a chance for the adventurous youth to prove his mettle.

Yet the mood shifts as a sharply dressed stranger and a portly man in a gold‑braided cap linger near the hangar, whispering with nervous urgency. Hiram recognizes the hat‑clad figure as someone from Dave’s past—a crafty foe known as Vernon—and warns that danger may already be circling the project. Elmer’s eyes narrow, sensing that the upcoming flight could draw unwanted attention.

Undeterred, Dave readies the Comet, confident in his training and the support of his friends, while the mystery of the two men adds an edge of intrigue to the adventure. Listeners will soon find themselves soaring over bustling cities, remote skies, and unexpected challenges as the young aviator embarks on his worldwide quest.
