A lively anthology of Chile’s oral folklore gathers dozens of short tales that have been whispered around campfires and market stalls for generations. From magical animal fables to witty anecdotes, each story reflects the humor, humility and lingering mysticism of everyday life in the Andes. The narrator preserves the original colors and regional vocabularies, letting listeners feel the cadence of a living tradition.
The opening adventure follows a restless foot‑soldier who leaves his village and joins a travelling prince on a quest. Along the road they recruit an odd band—a high‑jumping entertainer, a tire‑less porter and a keen‑eared listener—each introduced with playful nicknames and exaggerated bravado. United by a promise to rescue a hidden princess heard crying from deep beneath the earth, they set off into a forested wilderness, ready to face strange dangers with loyalty and humor.
