Description

In a shadowed corner of Spanish history, a tormented noble seeks vengeance for the death of his beloved child. Count Julian, haunted by loss, rallies his broken spirit against a tyrant who has seized the kingdom, vowing to wrest Spain from barbarian hands. The opening scenes pulse with desperate prayers, bitter monologues, and a fierce promise that only blood‑soaked justice can restore his honor.

Around him swirl characters of rival courts and foreign courts—King Roderigo, the Metropolitan of Seville, a Moorish chieftain, and the enigmatic Covilla, Julian’s outcast daughter. Their tangled loyalties and whispered conspiracies set the stage for a clash of faith, family, and power that threatens to engulf the entire nation. Listeners will be drawn into a lyrical tragedy where personal grief fuels a broader war, and every spoken word drips with the weight of a doomed destiny.
