Description

In the ancient forest kingdom of Oakenrealm, a warrior‑king who has known only battle discovers love and fatherhood, only to be felled in his final campaign. With his queen dying in childbirth, the newborn son is crowned king even as a band of rival monarchs threatens the realm. The dying king entrusts his infant heir to his loyal marshal, Rolf, demanding that the child be raised and taught the duties of rule.

Rolf assumes the regency, guiding the kingdom through war and uneasy peace while keeping the young Christopher safe from the intrigues of nobles and foes alike. As the boy grows, his destiny becomes intertwined with Goldilind, a lady of striking beauty and strong will, whose presence promises both hope and new challenges for the fledgling monarch. The early years set the stage for a tale of loyalty, love, and the making of a king.
