Description

Perched on a stone turret overlooking the rugged Marches, a young sentinel watches the world beyond the narrow loopholes of a stark border fort. The building is a practical fortress—rough walls, a raised doorway, and a deep well—designed more for defense than comfort. Below, a cramped cellar stores barley, bacon, and firewood, ready for a siege that could erupt at any moment. Life here is a constant balance between vigilance and the everyday chores of a remote outpost.

Beyond the walls, the early fifteenth‑century border is a tinderbox of ambition and rebellion. Welsh leader Glendower rides the hills, while northern lords such as Hotspur marshal forces against incursions from Scotland and Wales alike. As alliances shift and rumors of a grand confederacy surface, the young watchman finds himself drawn into missions that test his courage, loyalty, and the fragile peace that hangs over the border.
