Blue Bonnet, a spirited young woman fresh from a brief New York adventure, is whisked away back to Texas in a lavish private car called The Wanderer. The carriage, with its velvet chairs, glass buffet and a built‑in library, feels like a palace on wheels and fills her with both awe and a touch of impatience as the journey drags on. As the prairie sunrise slides past the window, she dreams of the summer waiting for her at the family ranch.
She’s not traveling alone; Uncle Cliff has arranged for the six other members of her close‑knit “We Are Seven” club to meet the car in Woodford and join the trek. Together they will head for a long‑planned ranch party where old Gertrudis, the legendary cook of Lone Star Ranch, will keep everyone fed, and the mysterious Benita, a local ranch hand, promises unexpected excitement. The stage is set for a lively season of friendship, rustic fun, and the gentle clash between city polish and frontier charm.
