Description

The story opens on a remote island where Noémi, a shy young woman raised apart from civilization, clings to the chest of a man who has just departed. Her fierce devotion feels both instinctive and baffling, blurring the line between gratitude, duty and a love she cannot name. As she wrestles with the expectations of a world governed by strict moral and religious codes, the island’s wild beauty frames her inner turmoil, making every breath feel charged with possibility.

When Mihály, a modest sailor whose own past is marked by poverty, returns, an unexpected tenderness ignites between the two. Their tentative connection is witnessed by Teréza, a supportive figure who encourages Noémi to accept the strange, overwhelming feeling that has taken hold of her heart. In this first act, the narrative explores how love can surface amid isolation, how simple gestures become profound, and how two solitary souls begin to glimpse a future beyond the stark horizons that have defined them.
